Eugenio López Alonso (b. 1967) is a Mexican businessman, philanthropist, and art collector. He is best known as the heir to the Jumex empire and the founder of the Museo Jumex in Mexico City.

Considered one of the most influential contemporary art collectors worldwide, López Alonso has shaped Latin America's presence on the global art scene. He began collecting art at the age of 24. Today, his Colección Jumex comprises over 3,000 works by more than 500 artists, making it one of the most significant contemporary art collections in Latin America.

If you could bring one painting to space with you,  just one, which would it be?

One by Cy Twombly, one of the ones I own. I have seven Cy Twomblys... It's kind of - well, I like large works, but this one measures about 1 meter by 1.20 meters.

Museo Jumex is a leading contemporary art museum in Mexico City. Founded in 2013 by Eugenio López Alonso, the museum is housed in a landmark building designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect David Chipperfield, his first project in Latin America. Located in the Polanco district, Museo Jumex features works from the Colección Jumex, one of the most significant contemporary art collections in the region, with over 3,000 works by more than 500 artists.
